The problem
Printed QR codes, campaign links and newsletter links outlive the pages they point to. A site migration, an expired campaign page or a changed redirect quietly sends people to a 404 or to the wrong place, and nobody notices until a customer mentions it.
What it checks
- Every hop of the redirect chain: URL, status code and Location header
- The final URL and final status, compared with a baseline or with the destination you expect
- Hops added or removed, status changes from 2xx to 4xx or 5xx
- DNS failures, TLS errors and timeouts
- QR codes: register the URL a QR code points to, or decode a QR image in your browser (the image is not uploaded)
What you get
A dashboard with the state of every link, a 90-day history per link, and e-mail alerts on broken, changed and recovered links (instantly or as a daily digest).
Who it is for
Marketing teams, agencies and web managers with printed material, campaigns, newsletters or documentation that link to their sites.
What it does not do
- It does not prove a link works for every visitor. Checks run from one cloud location without cookies or JavaScript, so behaviour that depends on location, device or bot detection can differ.
- It does not check whether the destination content is correct. Only availability, status codes and redirect behaviour are checked.
